Takeaways & Collections
As a working brewery there are members of the team on site from 8am during the week, usually John and Harry so, if you would like to come in and pick up a takeaway or collect an order that you’ve already placed on line there is always someone around to help. And don’t forget, when the Taproom is open there’s people around well into the evening as well.
To be on the safe side though here are our published hours for off sales:
Monday and Tuesday – 9am to 4pm
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – 9am to 10pm
Saturday – 11am to 10pm
Sunday – 11am to 9pm
The Hatch
After several years of searching, it was with great excitement that Pilgrim Brewery took over the running of the Hatch in mid 2022.
The Hatch is a lovely, intimate pub situated at Shaw’s Corner, and is a perfect venue for families and friends to get together.
As part of our ethos, we will not stock mainstream beers or spirits instead we will seek out great local craft and artisan producers. We have 5 cask lines ( serving Pilgrim and guest ales) and 12 keg lines (3 serving continental beers and the remaining 9 have Pilgrim and other local or craft beers). All of our wines and spirits are sourced from local suppliers.

The Cage
Situated in one of the most historic buildings in our town, the old Reigate prison which dates back to the early 1800’s The Cage offers a totally unique drinking experience.
Since Pilgrim took on The Cage back in October 2024, we have extended the number of taps and are now able to showcase our beers alongside great guest beers.
In addition to this we have a triple beer fridge offering over 100 beers from around the world and very soon, we will offering cask beer for the very first time at the venue.
Originally known only as a premier music venue and a late-night drinking spot, we have been working hard to diversify the offer, continuing to host music events in the Summer out in the courtyard as weather allows but we need the venue to work all year round.
As part of this, we continue to make improvements throughout the venue making it a desirable place to share a drink with friends whether there is entertainment on offer or not.
We are currently planning changes in the historic prison part of the building, the aptly named Lock-Up Bar & Lounge so this is open all the time. It’s not often you can enjoy your favourite drink while sitting in a historic prison.
Don’t forget the lock-up bar and lounge is available for private hire; pop up and have a look next time you are with us and look around, we bet you will be pleasantly surprised!
Most importantly we really want you to get to know and make The Cage one of your regular places to enjoy great drinks in a unique location, here’s hoping it will become your new favourite venue.

Our Story
Pilgrim Brewery is located in the market town of Reigate and was established in 1982, making it the oldest craft brewery in the South East. Reigate is on the old pilgrimage route between Winchester to Canterbury and there are records of beer being brewed in the town for hundreds of years.
Pilgrim Brewery was founded by Dave Roberts who was also instrumental in the set-up of SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers), a group dedicated to bringing craft beer to the market and also the Progressive Beer Duty. Both these achievements laid down the foundations for the craft beer revolution we are enjoying today.
In September 2017 Pilgrim Brewery was purchased by Adrian and Rory, with the aim of bringing quality ales and beers to the South East. There has been a big investment in the brewery, including new equipment to increase brewing capacity; new controllers throughout the brewing process to ensure consistency and new cleaning in place (CIP) technology.
There has also been a rebranding to make it more relevant to the new wave of drinkers, while not alienating the existing customer base.
Our Ethos
A friendly, inclusive company, which believes that everyone has a valid contribution to make, whilst creating outstanding beer.
Our Philosophy
We are a family run business driven by the desire to brew the very best of beers, consistently. With a collaborative culture, Pilgrim Brewery associates itself with many local businesses to increase creativity and cooperation within our community. Outstanding beer with passion.
